PwC, Deloitte, KPMG and Ernst&Young, together with the NGO Young Researchers of Serbia and the Metropolitan Municipality of Palilula, organised a tree planting event named the 'Green 4' which was held at Ada Huja on 23 April 2010.
More than 100 people employed within four of the world’s largest auditing and consulting firms known as the 'Big 4' volunteered in the tree planting activity in order to show that, although competitors in the market, they can work together with the aim of improving the quality of life in our community.
Twenty-four people from all PwC Lines of Service and Peter Burnie, PwC Partner leading our TLS department, participated in this activity contributing to PwC corporate responsibility commitments.
By undertaking the 'Green 4' event we have increased awareness of environmental issues amongst our employees and supported the local community in creating a nice and healthy environment.
Working on the tree planting project together with our competitors was an interesting experience and, yet, the 'Green 4' event was the first in a series of similar events that will be undertaken by the 'Big 4' accountancy firms with a view to helping our community.
